Most resorts provide basic island wedding packages that typically include the official, bride's flowers, sparkling wine for the couple, the processing of documentation, dinner for the couple and other basic planning elements. Then you will be able to select additional services such as music, cake and wedding gifts as well as any other services you may require. The following wedding details will be required by the local authority:
1. Full names, address, occupation and religion or belief
2. A photocopy of a valid passport from both parties
3. Original death certificate in the case of a widow or widower
4. A letter from a legal organisation (such as church, lawyer, doctor or civil registrar from your country of origin) confirming that both parties are not married
5. If divorced, original proof of the degree of absolute
6. Original proof if names have been changed by deed poll
7. For bride or grooms under 18 years, evidence of consent of parents is required in the form of affidavit by a notary public
Important: Prior to the wedding, the future bride and groom are required to stay in Zanzibar for four working days for registrar purposes.

1. A widow or a divorced woman is not authorised to remarry until 300 days after the death of her husband or after having obtained the divorce.
2. A wedding is possible on presentation of a medical certificate established by a local doctor certifying that she is not pregnant. If the bride-to-be is pregnant however, the wedding cannot legally be conducted.
3. All documents should be in either English or French and compulsorily certified. Prior to the swearing of the affidavit at the Supreme Court, all original documents should be produced to the Civil Status Office in Port Louis.
4. Weddings cannot be celebrated on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays.
5. All formalities of the civil marriage will be handled.
6. Should the couple wishes to celebrate a religious wedding and have a party after the wedding, this can be organised at the couple's expense.
7. Decoration, flowers, cakes, drinks, video, photos and so on can be organised and paid locally.
Costs to be paid by the bride and groom include the following:

- The cost of transporting the clients with our representative from the hotel to the Supreme Court, to the Civil Status of the locality and back
